1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function properly, remember your preferences, and improve your experience.

3. No Tracking Cookies
Cirko does not use:
- Analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Plausible)
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels
- Any third-party cookies for marketing purposes
We believe in privacy by design. All cookies used are strictly necessary for the Platform to function. Because we only use essential cookies, no cookie consent banner is required under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive.
4. Third-Party Services
Some third-party services integrated into the Platform may set their own cookies:
- Stripe (donation payment): may set cookies for fraud prevention during the payment process. These cookies are set on the Tenant's (organization's) Stripe account, not by Cirko.
- Paddle (subscription billing): may set cookies during the checkout process for SaaS subscriptions.
- Cloudflare (security): may set the
cf_clearancecookie to distinguish humans from bots.
These cookies are governed by the respective third-party privacy policies. Cirko has no control over these cookies.
5. Local Storage
In addition to cookies, we use browser local storage for:
- cirko-theme — Your dark/light mode preference
- React Query cache — Temporary cache of API responses to improve performance (automatically cleared)
Local storage data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
6. Managing Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View which cookies are stored
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block cookies from specific or all sites
- Set preferences for first-party vs third-party cookies
Note: Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using parts of the Platform (e.g., staying logged in, saving your language preference).
